Final glide, traffic and airspace in your view: a head-up display for gliding on Even G2 glasses.
GlideGlass puts what you would look down for in the corner of your eye. It runs on your Android phone, takes its position from the phone's GPS, and draws a head-up display on Even G2 smart glasses.
Every screen carries the essentials along its edges. Along the top: the height you would arrive with at the field you fly to, its name, the L/D it needs, its distance and which way to turn. Along the bottom: altitude, flight level, ground speed, wind and climb. In the middle is the screen you choose: home, horizon, traffic, fields, airspace or flight. Traffic comes from the Open Glider Network and ADS-B. A small warning shows on every screen when airspace, traffic or your glide needs you, and a red one brings up the traffic or airspace screen. Change screen from the glasses, from a floating button over your nav app, or by voice.
GlideGlass is an aid to awareness, not a collision warning or a navigation instrument: traffic it does not receive is not shown, and the data can be wrong or late.
